After successfully collaborating with Team GB across three consecutive Summer Games, we were honoured that they asked us to design and deliver the team’s training facilities for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. With a training space of just 100 square metres, the Absolute Performance team was tasked with maximising the space to provide a gym installation that supported elite athletes beyond the build.

Starting from the ground up, we installed our heavyweight performance flooring throughout the facility. Ideal for Olympic weightlifting areas and dumbbell zones, our specialist flooring is designed to withstand repeated heavy drops. Our most robust and durable tile helps to protect the user, equipment and the underfloor by boasting reduced rebound properties, higher shock absorption and greater acoustic performance.
We carefully handpicked industry-leading kit to enhance athletic performance and achieve the best results. Amongst the strength and conditioning gym, we installed:

This project really showcased the scale of what we can achieve. We thrive on a challenge, and this project demonstrated our ability to transform complex spaces into elite sports facilities. From initial consultation and design through to supply and global shipping and installation, we have delivered on every step of the process, providing our expert guidance and knowledge along the way.

For this temporary build, we completely transformed an existing aerobics studio, carefully planning out the space to maximise its potential. Not only did we have to design the gym around the current studio, but we also needed to return it to its original state once the games had concluded. Our team took excellent care, as they do in every space we touch, and the space was reverted to its previous condition without any damage to the facility.
Team GB’s most successful Winter Olympics
The 2026 Winter Olympics marked a historic moment for Team GB, becoming the nation’s most successful Winter Games to date. British athletes delivered outstanding performance across a range of winter sports, demonstrating exceptional skill, determination and resilience on the world stage. The team brought home a total of five medals, including an unprecedented three gold medals. We’re proud to be part of their success, which is sure to have inspired a new generation of athletes.
