St George’s College Weybridge approached us to help with the design and build of the fitness facility within the new sports centre. It was clear from a very early stage that the college was not looking for any standard gym format but a world-class strength and conditioning facility. We were commissioned to provide multiple flooring solutions to suit the planned facility, along with the relevant equipment that would enhance the already strong sports program at St George’s.
As part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, the College commissioned the building of a brand new activity centre to help transform the current sports facilities and leave a lasting legacy for both current and future generation’s pupils.
A major part of the brief was to ensure the College identity shone through in the equipment and space. So along with custom college colours, specific branding was created for much of the equipment such as plates, artificial turf, plyo boxes and upholstery. The new sports facility is simply stunning and we are extremely proud that we have been able to create a training area that enhances the college’s facilities to an elite standard.
