Since achieving academy status in 2011, Lydiard Park Academy, a comprehensive secondary school in Wiltshire, UK, has been committed to revolutionising the educational experience for its diverse student body. In pursuit of their vision to be a centre of educational excellence, Lydiard Park Academy not only supports academic success but also nurtures sporting talent. Aiming to inspire elite sporting pupils to fulfil their potential, fuelling ambition and self-belief, they sought our expertise as leaders in gym design and installation, with vast experience in the education sector, to repurpose underutilised classroom space into a state-of-the-art gym facility that would not only cater to its pupils but also provide access to the wider community.

From the outset, we worked closely with Lydiard Park Academy to understand their specific requirements and objectives. Through meticulous planning and collaboration, we made the academy’s vision a reality, breathing new life into the old classroom space, transforming it into a dynamic fitness hub for student athletes and non-gym users alike.

Leveraging our experience and innovative solutions, we maximised the potential of the available space, conducting thorough assessments that considered factors such as layout, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. With precision and a keen eye for detail, we ensured that the project was completed to the highest standards and delivered a facility that exceeded expectations.

The newly minted gym at Lydiard Park Academy boasts an array of equipment designed to enhance the workout experience. From bespoke storage units for dumbbells, kettlebells, and power bags to cutting-edge cardio machines like BikeErg, SkiErg, and RowErg, we left no stone unturned in providing a comprehensive facility that caters to users of all levels. Elite-level strength equipment, including an Apex Squat Rack & Smith Machine, Werksan Lionfit Half Rack, and Spirit Functional Trainer, provides a platform for students to develop their athletic talents and inspire individuals to push their limits.

Beyond serving as a training ground for students, the school will open the gym’s doors to the wider community outside school hours. Serving as a community hub, it’s a transformative space where individuals of all backgrounds and abilities can come together, pursue their fitness goals, and access top-of-the-line training equipment.
