Designing a Premier Gym Facility for Professional Game Match Officials
Tasked with crafting a dynamic, multi-zone training space where match officials could train amidst their demanding schedules, we had to navigate the challenges of a third-floor location to create a gym that integrated functionality, durability, and aesthetics.
Working hand-in-hand with structural engineers, building designers, and project managers to ensure that every aspect, from structural integrity to architectural considerations, was meticulously addressed and scrutinised to guarantee safety and efficiency, we created a facility that exceeded expectations, tailored specifically for peak performance.

The Result?
Inside, the gym now boasts top-of-the-line equipment that will meet the rigorous training needs of match officials. The cardio area features a diverse array of machines, including the SkiErg, curve treadmill, Tornado aero bike, Wattbike, and Keiser functional training apparatus. Meanwhile, the strength area showcases precision Werksan racks adorned with custom-branded weight plates, complemented by a selection of Apex dual-branded equipment.
Standing as the crown jewel of the facility is the bespoke sled track, branded with graphics woven into high-performance 40mm heavy-weight flooring. This personalised centrepiece not only transforms the look of the gym but is a functional and hard-wearing piece of kit that provides a premium surface for a wide range of exercises, from resistance training to strength and conditioning.

From inception to completion, we strived to create an exceptional facility that reflected PGMOL’s vision and would inspire and motivate users to push their boundaries and train effectively for years to come. As Stockley Park continues to evolve, this gym will ensure match officials are primed for peak performance on and off the field.
