Under the leadership of new owner Michele Kang, the London City Lionesses are entering an exciting new chapter. As the only fully independent club in England’s top two professional women’s leagues, LCL’s vision is to create a world-class training facility where women’s football can thrive without compromise. The club asked us to refit their newly acquired site in Aylesford, Kent, into a space that not only meets the specific needs of professional footballers but also embodies the Lionesses’ spirit and ambition.
Lion-Hearted Strength Equipment
At the core of the new facility is our new KingsBox Power Racks. Central to strength training, these power racks are equipped with spotter arms, weight horns, and band pegs, providing a versatile and safe environment for the players to perform heavy lifts—essential for building the strength and power needed on the pitch. We added lifting platforms to the power rack setup, complete with custom-branded inserts that showcase the Lionesses’ identity, and included landmine attachments to enhance the versatility of the racks further, allowing for a broader range of strength and conditioning exercises.
The gym is also equipped with AP Series Elite Olympic Bars and a full range of bumper plates, kettlebells, slam balls, jerk blocks, and DC blocks—all essential for achieving the best results in strength training.
Powering the Pride
Strength alone is not enough to dominate on the pitch; speed and agility are equally crucial. The facility also features Keiser M3I Bikes and SkiErgs, offering cardio options that are low-impact but highly effective for endurance training. These machines are perfect for warming up before a workout or for recovery sessions, ensuring that the players maintain their cardiovascular fitness while minimising the risk of injury.

We believe that this facility will not only help the Lionesses succeed on the pitch but also inspire the next generation of young women to pursue their dreams in football, knowing they have the support and infrastructure to succeed.
