Founded in 2012 with the vision of providing business cost-saving services to companies in the North East of England, the business has now grown from a regional enterprise to a national provider with the North East Community at its core.
In 2020, plans for a new GAS £3m headquarters were unveiled which was to include an on-site Health and Wellbeing Space for all members of the GAS Group.
The objective
To complete the design and conversion of an unused 470msq Call Centre Hall into a modern-day Health and Wellbeing facility to facilitate the delivery of group-based functional fitness programmes to better improve the wellbeing of the GAS workforce.
GAS FIT was to be created!!
Scheme of work
Working with the Group Health & Wellbeing Manager and with the aid of EC Design 3D Room Planner several proposals were submitted to the GAS Executive Team before the final design and floor plan of the facility were agreed upon.
Following this, a critical timeline was documented including the time frame for the manufacture of all bespoke equipment through to complete delivery and install of equipment.

Absolute Performance has been a pleasure to work with, from the conversations across with Jason to the staff completing the build. Having had my own gym previously and trying to cut corners with pricing and trying to use multiple companies it was great to work with one company that was able to price accordingly due to the project and also save valuable time. It’s something that I underestimated previously but this project has shown me the importance of one company delivering a full project as when pricing this particular job absolute performance we’re able to offer a really reasonable bespoke package which saved considerable time sourcing and mainly with the fit-out to deliver a fully bespoke project from start to finish.
For this project, it was important that timescales were met due to the opening of a new HQ but also that everything was fitted with safety and presentation in mind. Absolute Performance was able to deliver on all fronts which have been superbly received by the employees who will be using the facility.
