Stone Gym Design and Installation project completed

The project

The Stone gym design and installation project demonstrates how a client’s vision combines with our product knowledge and gym design expertise to deliver a great space that helps a fitness studio business thrive. Stone is a luxury personal training studio based over two sites in Kensington and Bank London. New owners purchased the business and set about updating and refurbishing the two locations to deliver personal fitness programmes, corporate wellness packages and fitness sessions. Our task was to work closely with the Stone team to design and install an airy open gym space with premium functional equipment and areas for bodyweight training, durable floor spaces for lifting and sled work as well as handpicking specific cardio equipment that complemented the Stone personal training programmes.

Why did Stone choose Absolute Performance?

The AP team also took a no-nonsense approach, with no extra fluff or pressure to add pieces of equipment which we weren’t looking to include. They grasped what we were looking to do with the open, natural feel, whilst wanting the premium equipment when it came to Olympic lifting and strength and conditioning equipment.

We found Absolute Performance through a Google search. It seemed that AP had a better understanding of what we were looking to do versus the other suppliers we were talking to. That, mixed in with the calibre of clients that they have worked with previously and they seemed like the perfect company to work with.

The install

We approached this project with the same process we undergo for all our gym designs and installations, working with the team from Stone at every step. We generated 3D concepts of the gym spaces which allowed Stone to understand how they could use the space efficiently whilst maintaining the spacious setting they desired. Our plans, in comparison to other suppliers, were simpler, less busy in detail and focussed on what the gym was looking to achieve.

The result

The end result is a clean, bright and stylish space that clients and trainers can enjoy. It is kitted out with some of the best cardio and weight training equipment available from top-tier manufacturers including Werksan, Keiser and Woodway. The high-spec kit list and the Stone team’s knowledge and experience has helped Stone attract new clients at both Kensington and Bank gyms.
