On personal invitation from Lord David Blunkett PC, our Absolute Performance Founding Directors Tony and Siân Buchanan are now featuring on The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Podcast.
Reflecting on the last 18 months of triumphs and hardships during a difficult time for the whole world, Tony and Siân had the opportunity to speak with host Joshua Jackson, Director of Membership and Stakeholder Engagement at The Leadership Council. Giving an honest and open recount of what it means to be business leaders in the health and fitness industry right now, Tony and Siân spoke about the processes of running a business during Covid restrictions, effectively managing an efficient, happy workforce and – of course – providing training facilities and equipment to clients including Team GB and Paralympics GB at the Tokyo Olympics through it all.
The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is currently in the process of talking to leadership figures from across the nation in an attempt to understand the universal trait of leadership and what it means in Britain and Northern Ireland today.
Tony and Siân were invited onto an episode of the podcast in an interview with Host Joshua Jackson who asked them both a series of questions about leadership and the role it has played in their careers to date.
“Hosting a show like this, where you speak to genuine leaders like Tony and Siân who have been there and done it, either on a national stage or within a crucial industry sector, is an absolute honour.” – Joshua Jackson
Lord Blunkett, chairman of The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland said, ‘I think the most informative element of each episode is the first part, where Joshua Jackson is able to sit down with someone who really gets how their industry works and knows how to make their organisation tick. Someone who’s there day in day out working hard and inspiring others. That’s what leadership is all about.’
