With the move to Allianz Park, we managed the upgrading of their strength and conditioning training facilities.
We’ve worked with the Saracens team for nearly 4 years, so we knew they had high standards. You wouldn’t expect anything less from one of the most successful clubs in English Rugby Union. They trusted us to come up with the best solution for their new training facilities, here’s how we did it.
Maximise the use of space with bespoke, multi-use work stations.
To make the best possible use of space, we worked closely with Saracens’ Performance Director, Phil Morrow, to design and build 4 bespoke work stations. Each station consists of a double power rack and 2 integrated Olympic lifting platforms. This solution enables more players to train alongside each other at any one time, which means the team get much more out of their time in the gym.
Serious Kit for Serious Athletes
Olympic weight lifting is key to building the team’s strength and power, so it’s essential that they train with the best lifting equipment available. Werksan is endorsed by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) for its bars and discs, so you can’t get better than that. Chosen as the UK’s sole supplier of Werksan, we were able to provide the best advice on the lifting equipment for the team, including training plates, benches, dumbbells and bars. Saracens will continue to benefit from training with Werksan, as the product portfolio develops and the prestigious brand is applied to an even broader range of fitness products.
Phil Morrow, Performance Director had this to say:
We chose Absolute Performance because of their innovation and tenacity to get a job done. Only 10 weeks after I approached them with an idea of what we wanted for the Woollams training facility, they were able deliver and install the final solution.
These first class training facilities will enable the team to continue to perform at the top end of their game for years to come.
